Donna lives in Calgary, Alberta where she works full time as an artist.

Although she is primarily self taught, Donna attends several workshops and classes a year including those of well known local artists Jean Pedersen, Karin Richter and Doug Swinton.  She recently traveled to Colorado to attend workshops from master painters Daniel Gerhartz, Scott Burdick and Sherrie McGraw whose work is an inspiration. She believes in the continued study of weekly life drawing as a way to keep her artistic eye trained.

As an added bonus painting has provided relief from almost daily migraines which she has suffered for over thirty years. She believes she is doing what she was always meant to do and feels blessed to follow her dreams.

Donna belongs to an artist group "Never a Dull Canvas"  who exhibit their work in Calgary. Her work has been shown in several juried shows and at the Leighton Centre and Gallery.  One of her paintings was also chosen as a finalist in the Calgary Public Library Foundation’s Art of the Book event in 2009.

In 2010 her painting "Christmas Bundles" was chosen to be part of the Printing House Limited 2010 seasonal greeting card campaign in support of registered Canadian charities

Donna’s artwork is included in the Calgary Flames Rotary House as well as in private collections across Canada and the United States.
